The trails and wetlands come alive during this remarkable migration, connecting Alaska to South America. We invite you to enjoy an unforgettable experience—learning about the birds that visit, their songs, their feathers—and connecting deeply with nature
We’ll have bilingual guides sharing fascinating stories about bird migration and the ecological importance of this unique ecosystem. We’ll also provide binoculars, snacks, and a small gift to encourage your continued care for nature.
This is a free and fully inclusive experience, perfect for all ages.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, a hat, and bring your water bottle.
During the walk, you’ll discover why the Watsonville wetlands are one of the last natural refuges of their kind on California’s Central Coast— and home to protected species like the red-legged frog, the peregrine falcon, and the golden eagle.
