The Bird School Project is a local outdoor education organization who provides phenomena-based science lessons focused on birdwatching for middle school students. Join them for a special coastal bike and bird tour through Santa Cruz’s westside to visit some familiar local hotspots for birds on their migratory journeys! Come prepared for being outside in sun, wind, or changing conditions for about 3 hours. BSP will supply optics equipment for close up viewing of wildlife for those without, but if you have binoculars please bring them along! We’ll meet at 9 am at the entrance to Natural Bridges along Delaware Ave. After exploring Natural Bridges on foot, we’ll continue our bike ride along the coast, visiting Neary Lagoon, and eventually ending at the San Lorenzo river mouth. Hummingbirds, ducks, raptors, and so much more!
